I’m remodeling my bathroom. I have a wood casement window now and it’s shot and I want to replace it with a glass block window. I have vinyl siding so I want the trim around the window to also be vinyl and any trim inside to be vinyl. How do go about replacing my wood window with this new glass (or acrylic I don’t know yet) block window?

I have an old house and am currently remodeling the bathroom, and not sure how to proceed. So far I have tiled one whole wall with white subway tiles, installed a new sink, repaired the original octagonal tile floor and replaced the ceiling with bead board, also in white. My question is, how do I proceed with the other three walls? What would look best? More tile? Drywall? More beadboard? I am trying to maintain the integrity of the original bathroom, which I would say was added to the house around the 1920′s. any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
I will be remodeling our house. Our house is 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms.
I want suggestions about replacing the bathroom tub (cast heavy iron) with either a custom tile job (all tile, nice travertine) or a basic fiberglass?
We will remodel our biggest bathroom, costs of materials don’t matter to me, we have a son and were both working professionals. The area is ok, middle class.

My husband has always done an excellent job at remodeling and fix it jobs but where do we even begin? He has previously completely gutted and remodeled 2 bathrooms but the plumbing was already in place. Does it have to be done by a licensed professional?
We live very rural, no zoning etc. It is actually an old farm house we are renovating!

Hey, I’m going to be remodeling my bathroom soon and need some help deciding what to use for my walls. I want something that’s inexpensive but looks nice. Also, I’ve heard that using sheet rock in a bathroom is bad because of the amout of moisture in a bathroom. Is this true? Can someone please help me with some ideas?

I have a 72 inch opening in my bathroom that needs a sink and vanity. Problem is that I am having hard time finding a new 72 inch single sink vanity. What would U do with that size a opening to finish your bathroom? I have no other cabinets in the bathroom. My bathroom is only a 10X7

I live in an old home and I just remodeled my bathroom and put beaded board four feet around the bathroom. I need color and I have wallpaper on the top half. Blue, pink, green and brown colors. I want to change my rugs and towels to burgandy and or dark greens. My floor looks like wood grain. Should I be bold and paint it a bright color My room is large and light. i want to change the bathroom vanity/sink and the medicine cabinet and the light in the bathroom and the bathroom bowl. by the way i am buying all these things and just want someone to put them on. Also my bathroom is so small. If i buy the tiles tell how much would it cost to have someone tile the floor as i have said my bathroom is quite small. i probably need about 12 tiles

I hired a company thru Service Magic to remodel my hall bathroom. I had them tear down the walls and take out all of the existing tiles. I purchased marble tiles for the shower and glass tiles to be used as a border. After they "completed" the job I took a look at what they installed.
The border tile goes in and out. So if you slide your hand across it, your hand goes in a wave motion. I"m trying to explain this to the contractors and they are telling me that all glass tiles are installed this way…??? They are saying because it’s flexible it causes it to go in and out. Please help me.
Why did this happen. What can I say to them to make them understand that it was not installed properly?
In addition: I have ,000k left to pay them along with material.

This contractor offered to remodel my bathroom into an Aztec bathroom. He would replace all fixtures in kind with no behind the wall improvements. The estimate would include permits and the toilet, sink, medicine cabinet w/mirror, and bath tub. How much should this cost?

I’m redoing my bathtub and surrounding wall remodel and i’m planning to put of panel in the ceiling over the tub and block the heater air outlet (heater outlet is also in the ceiling over the tub). The reason I want to block the heater outlet is due to rust problem since outlet soaks up lot of the hot moisture during shower. Bathroom remodel place wants me to block the outlet before they put the ceiling panel because the hot air coming down could lossen the adhesive used to glue panel to the ceiling. Can any one help me how to do this x tks

Last May, we paid ,000 to a contractor to totally gut the mastbath and replace everything because we had a leaky, old tub/shower combo. Well I just notice major water spots on the ceiling below. What could be leaking and what should we do? My husband thinks the tub is sealed very well, but we are at a loss and extremely upset because of the money that we have already spent.
Sorry, we think that tub is NOT sealed very well.

I’m about to remodel bathroom and kitchen and I like the granite counters, stainless steel look, the new bathroom modern sinks and furniture. I also love the mosaic tile trend. How long do you think these updates will last without looking dated? Any suggestions to avoid looking dated too soon.
