paint it! it would cost more to replace it and it isn’t your house. it is a special paint and if done properly you can get a lot of use from that tub. by the way, ask your landlord if you can paint it as some landlords are picky.

Paint is an option, but it won’t hold up without special care.
Talk to the owner. He might do it for you or at the very least share the cost.
Painting your tub with the correct epoxy paint is your most inexpensive option. But the secret to any paint job is how well the prep work is done. Sanding and preparing the tub is crucial but beneficial for getting a finished product for a little bit of money. Tearing out and replacing major plumbing fixtures, and the resulting wall and floor, will be costly to recoup in a rental property. Good luck.
Have the bathtub refinished by a professional..It will look like new..You can have it done for about 200.00..
