Hi I have a new house and apparently they installed some sort of "heat regulator" on my showers so that the water doesn’t get too hot. I prefer almost scalding showers… the water heat in all my other fixtures (sinks, bathtubs etc) is great. Does anyone know how to turn off the regulator so that I can quit taking lukewarm showers? Thanks.

Im not sure what I can do if anything at all if anyone can help with advice that would be so appreciated. Heres the problem I bought my first home suppose to be a happy time and your suppose to enjoy it. No I ended up with the house from hell! I feel like I was taken advantage of because there was so much that I wasnt told about this house as far as what needed to be done, and some of the things I was lied to about. If I would have known the problems I wouldnt have paid as much as I did for it and now I am stuck like a sitting duck after putting so much into it. Okay here are the details when I bought it I did by as is and i didnt have it inspected or anything I didnt realize you were suppose to do that. I bought from private party on land contract and put 13,000 into it and was told in order to get it just to what I bought it for I would need to stick another 45,000 into it. Anyhow the house still needed work as it was gutted due to fire in house. So we knew that it needed as he would of put some work. Well Im thinking like the cubboards needed to be put in toilets sinks etc. He said it needed some plumbing no it needed it all!! There was no plumbing I did all of it. He told me that the basement was a damp basement wich I kinda figured that its not finished no I get a fricken lake in my basement when it rains. Because the foundation is very very damaged. I was told nothing about all of the wood in the basement like my supports and what not are all dry rotted my plumber told me cause he tried to nail supports in for the plumbing and found out. I was told my hot water heater was new it gives me a 2min shower. Ive only been here a month and the only thing he had already installed was the bathtubs and now thats cracked too how does a brand new tub crack? I was getting electricuted everytime that I opened my garage door so I had the electric company come here and come to find out I have stray voltage the electric work that they did was done incorrectly. I called the city and asked if the house was inspected and they said no they didnt even know he sold it and that they didnt get to come here because he was suppose to call them before he sold it so my house could go up into flames when my children and I are in here sleeping. Also a couple weeks after buying the house I got a letter saying that I needed to reside it okay went to the city asked them to give me a loan they said okay until they found out how much I paid I paid over half the appraised value so they told me no they couldnt help cause there is no equity value. I than went and talked to him and he said thats good its appraised so low that means your taxes are cheaper. Thats just some of it there is so much more please Im a single mom with 3 kids I really need some advice or help.
To answer some of your questions No stupidly there was no realator. No he did not give me anything writen saying what was wrong with the house. The city inspector was the one that said he was to have it inspected before sale because he gutted it and redid the work himself (not me) Yes we went and signed papers threw his lawyer. Yes I have before pictures and what I have done pictures.

Best Bath Tub Install

Detail training video to install a Best Bath escape and Liberty walk-in bath tub.

The bathroom in the house is small and will only fit small bathtub. RV bathtubs are of the right dimensions. Can I install one in the house or is it designed differently?

Do you own your home? If that’s the case, if there was just one thing you could change about your bathroom, what would it be? There’s a good chance that like most people, you would want to change the bathtub. Since the bathtub is such an integral aspect of your bathroom, a really nice one can positively affect the look of your bathroom. If you really want to upgrade the bathroom, then bite the bullet and get that new tub. It’s really not as hard of a remodeling project as it seems.

The first thing to determine once you have decided to start the remodel is the budget; how much? If you are also remodeling the rest of your bathroom, it is important that you not only focus on the cost of a new bathtub, but also the cost of your other supplies. If you mistakenly spend too much on a new bathtub, the rest of your bathroom remodeling plans could suffer. Also, you will likely find that having a bathtub limit or budget is the best way to save time while shopping. Knowing how much money is too much to spend will prevent you from partaking in wasteful activities like browsing through bathtubs you can’t afford to begin with.

The budget also plays a part in how your new bathtub will be installed.  If you are planning on having a professional install your new bathtub for you, you will need to keep the extra costs in mind. Although you may want to avoid paying a professional contractor, you may need to. There are a number of bathroom contractors who specialize in replacing bathtubs. In fact, some, literally, just place a new bathtub right over the old one.  It may be possible for you to do this yourself, but, in most cases, you will find that a professional contactor could have your new bathtub installed in as little as a few hours.

Regardless of whether you choose to install your own bathtub or have a professional do it for you, you will need to find a new bathtub to purchase.  If you are looking to have your old bathtub completely removed, you will likely find that you have more options.  When a new bathtub replaces an old bathtub, the tubs need to be about the same size or style. Therefore, if you are remodeling your bathroom with the hopes of getting a “new,” bathroom, you may be looking for something different.  Luckily for you, you still have an unlimited number of options.

The most popular bathtubs in the US are usually the standard tubs or the traditional tubs. These bathtubs are often installed right to the wall or placed in a corner, and they usually sit directly on the floor.  The best characteristic about these tubs is their affordability.  You can purchase a traditional bathtub for as low as two hundred dollars.

If you are looking for comfort, instead of price, you may want to look into spa-like bathtubs or even massage bathtubs. These bathtubs, as you may assume, cost more than most others.  Many massage bathtubs or spa-like bath tubs retail for around one or two thousand dollars.  If you are looking for a trendy, stylish bathtub, you may prefer to own a freestanding bathtub. Freestanding bathtubs can cost as low as five hundred dollars, but they can also reach into the thousands.

Once you have decided which type of bathtub you would like to purchase, you will need to decide on a particular tub. Perhaps, the best way to do this is to start your shopping. You may find it easier to make a decision when you can see bathtub displays set up.  For a wide selection of bathtubs, including displays, you are advised to checkout one of your local home improvement stores.
