This contractor offered to remodel my bathroom into an Aztec bathroom. He would replace all fixtures in kind with no behind the wall improvements. The estimate would include permits and the toilet, sink, medicine cabinet w/mirror, and bath tub. How much should this cost?

ok so im remodeling my bathroom and i picked out a nice vanity but it doesn’t have a matching medicine cabinet, it has only a matching mirror (that doesn’t open)
so now im a little short on space, my friends and family suggest a bathroom cabinet but I think that’s a little tacky. Is it tacky? any good ideals for more space is welcome!

I have the ugliest bathroom ever. My tub, toilet, and sink are blue. My walls are purple and bright. My vanity looks like it stepped out of the 80′s and my floor is that ugly fake wood. Heres my questions
*how much will it costs to remodel ( i want to gut it and replace everything. also i want to add shelves for more storage.)
*how long will it usually take
*where can i shop to save on costs
*last my bathroom is small. I want to paint the walls like a cream/tan color. put it a dark wood vanity and have the traditional white sink, toilet, and tub. I want to add marble looking tile on the floors and around the tub for back splash instead of having the normal porcelin shower thing on wall around tub(not sure what that thing is called sorry). And i want a lght tan shower curtain and rug. The mirror i want to match with the dark wood vanity. Do u think that will be ok or too many nuetral colors for such a small space. I plan on adding recess lighting also to brighten it up and some flowers and oil lamp on the shelves to add color. Any suggestions would be appreciated thx
maybe instead of marble looking tile i will uses tan stone looking tile. idk i need suggestions.. what do u guys think

I’m remodeling my bathroom and need to pick out lighting for the vanity. I will be putting the lighting above the mirror. Are there any new trends? Types of lights? Track lighting? Colors? Finishes? Etc…

I am moving into my first home and I have a few questions about remodeling the main floor bathroom:
1) There is an awkward old built-in cabinet above the sink that makes it so that the mirror is not directly over the sink. I would like to just seal that cabinet off. The walls are drywall–how could I patch/seal this?
2) Inside of the weird cabinet is a dimmer switch for the lights above the vanity. I would like to rewire this so that the vanity light can be switch on/off from the switchplate by the door of the bathroom. Currently, there is a single switch that controls the overhead fan–can I make this into a double switchplate and have the light and fan control by the door?
Thanks for the help!
How do I move the wiring from behind the wall near the cabinet all the way to the door? I know this may be a dumb question, but I don’t know anything about this stuff
Also…would it be expensive to have an electrician do it?

Contractors,
I am playing with the idea of starting my own little contracting firm. I have some theories on how to price out jobs but was wondering how you guys do it. Say I had a customer who wanted a bathroom remodel that included (assuming a 10X10 bathroom
Replace the vanity and sink, and fosset
replace the toilet
rip and replace floor tile,
rip and replace tile around the tub
rip and replace light fixture
rip and replace mirror
Paint the walls and ceiling
How would you guys price this job out?

I’m taking down the wallpaper in my bathroom but it goes behind a huge mirror glued to the wall. Is there anyway to get the mirror down or should I not worry about whats behind it?
Also, the cabinets are grey fermica (late 80s style)… is there anyway to remove the fermica (easily) or should I just replace the cabinets entirely?
ANY extra ideas or thoughts are entirely welcome! I’m a newbie at doing this!
will the mirror break though if i pull it off the wall? and how do i get it off the wall if possible?
