What natural stone should I put in my bathroom?

I’m completely remodeling my bathroom and luckily have access to very discounted natural stones and tiles like granite, marble, onyx, travertine, mosaics and what not (no glass tiles tho)…. I need to decide by Monday what I want to do since I have a contractor coming in…. It is full bathroom; however, it is relatively small in size…. I already have a nice black vanity area with the outside glass bowl and an absolute black countertop. I was thinking about putting 12×12 absolute black tiles on a floor but have no idea how to do shower stall? What would like nice with black granite? I was thinking about some onyx mosaic on the shower floor and maybe honey onyx on the walls??? Also which paint would look nice??? I am looking for something modern, sharp and simple in form….
Please help….

we are remodeling our bathroom. The countertop is shot but our cabinets are still in great shape. They are not solid wood…they are wood faced. They have been painted once already but I don’t like the color. I am concerned about painting it as I don’t want the paint to scratch or chip off. Any suggestions as to how to assure this will not happen.

    Small bathroom remodeling ideas?

I have a small bathroom that is like, 4 ft by 8 ft roughly. I am trying my hardest to find ideas that will make my bathroom look fresh and open. Right now it is a very yucky pale tan with white paneling half way up the wall. Im keeping the white paneling because Its a nice accent to the room. I have this vinyl flooring in there that’s very dark mixed shades of brown/rouge, its weird. Im going to lay down new white or light colored floor but I need some ideas for paint. I have three blue rooms in my house already so I cant do that ha ha. I was thinking about installing a pedestal sink so open up the room but I don’t really know how to install it with the piping and everything. Is this easy to do? So, paint ideas to open the room and pedestal sink advice. Thanks!
FYI- I have a special spot in my room for a bedroom vanity that Im buying so I dont really need the counter space in the bathroom. The only thing i do at the sink is wash my face, brush, and put in my contacts.
You know what, I did some research and they have brand new all-in-one vanities at Home Depot that comes with a sink top and everything. Im thinking of just getting one of those so I have storage.
Im definitly going to do that. They have some really nice oak and white finish ones for like about 0 which is great for my budget!!

    Bathroom remodeling question?? (D.I.Y.)?

Seeking professional advice from fellow D.I.Y. folks. I am starting a complete bathroom remodel, What should I start ripping out first? We will still be using this bathroom off an on if needed, as a guest bathroom. Everything is coming out at one point. But I am not sure where to start. I am replacing or getting rid of the half paneling, the lighting, sink and huge avocado green vanity & cabinet, toilet, floor, wall paper under the 3 or 4 layers of paint, ceramic tile in the shower, and finally the bath tub. What would you start with??

I am a home owner and am looking to have a bunch of home repairs done and need to figure out what kind of cost I am looking at.

Here is the list of things I need done:
Install 3 sets of mini blinds
take out old counter tops and install a newer one or resurface the one I have and just replace a small part(the lip) under one of them that is where the dishwasher normally goes.
I also have this back door its a sliding glass door that the threshhold needs to be completely redone. There is a peice of wood in place where there should be bricks, so that needs to be taken out, put a peice of metal in there so water cant seep through and then replace the bricks.
The toilet is constantly going, I heard its a small inexpensive repair.
I have 2 bathtub/shower installs that were painted (yes there idiots), they are peeling now, so I want the paint stripped off.
I have 1 light that needs fixed as well as a fan.
My hot water heater needs to have a "bladder added to it.
I also have a dishwasher that has some issues too.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you all.

What are the costs of remodeling a bathroom?

A house we’re looking to buy has an unfinished master bath. All that is there is the framing, the insulation, and the plumbing to install a toilet and either a large shower or a small soaking tub. Ceiling, drywall, paint, mirrors, light fixtures, flooring, toilet, tub, fixtures, all are needed. Any ideas on cost would be appreciated. Thanks!

    small bathroom remodeling project?

so i’m 17 and my mom’s left me to dealing with a really small bathroom we have, it’s got a shower with a clear glass door and it’s pretty bland and boring with a bright blue trim around the bottom where the walls meet the floor. so my question is how do i fix the ceiling above the shower? it’s cracking and looks pretty bad…i was thinking about sanding it and then painting it over but does the type of paint i use matter?
oh and i was thinking about using a light yellow, slate blue, or light green color…any suggestions?
    Thanks!
