Bathroom remodeling question.?

My husband and I would like to demolish our only bathroom and replace everything, do you think we can do a majority of it in a couple of weekends? My husband has little faith or is it just plain lazy. I Wanna tear down ugly wall tile and replace with half drywall and half new wall tile, put in a smaller whirlpool tub and replace wall tile around tub, rip up the tile floor and replace with some ceramic. Eventually, get a new toilet and vanity and cabinet. HGTV has me pumped up! I think we can do it without hiring contractors.

Bathroom remodeling?

I have a small bathroom located in my master bedroom, I have recently re-done the color scheme and theme. I previously had a floral cranberry curtain and it definetly needed to be updated. I now have a striped curtain with the colors…white, light ocean blue, and light sage green, I found a matching rug for under the vanity and did the same blue in the curtain for the hand towels. I did a chrome and white toothbrush holder and an awesome "Beach" 8x 20" sign over the toilet that has the exact same colors in the curtain and also a light sand color. I was thinking of painting the walls a sand color to go with the theme…is there anything you could add that would bring this bathroom out even more??

Bathroom remodeling question?? (D.I.Y.)?

Seeking professional advice from fellow D.I.Y. folks. I am starting a complete bathroom remodel, What should I start ripping out first? We will still be using this bathroom off an on if needed, as a guest bathroom. Everything is coming out at one point. But I am not sure where to start. I am replacing or getting rid of the half paneling, the lighting, sink and huge avocado green vanity & cabinet, toilet, floor, wall paper under the 3 or 4 layers of paint, ceramic tile in the shower, and finally the bath tub. What would you start with??

bathroom remodeling question?

Im tiling the shower and coming out of the shower to meet the top of the backsplash on my new vanity and continue around the walls.Do i install the vanity first, then tile up to it,or do i tile first, then install my vanity over the new tile?

what is the going rate for bathroom remodeling?

price per square foot, new tub, vanity, sink, tile 250 sq ft, fixtures.

Ok, I already have a brand new faucet for the bathroom sink that I picked up last year for very cheap on clearance. It’s color is polished brass. Now I am in need of a shower head and handle to match. The only problem is that polished brass is not a popular color and is very pricey. Also, our vanity handles are a dull gold color. I have found a color called brushed bronze, which is a dull gold as well. I was thinking about just buying a new sink fixture and then a shower one in the brushed bronze, since I feel it looks nicer than the shiny gold. But, would it be silly to buy a new sink faucet, when I already have one? My husband thinks we should just get a polished brass shower kit to save money. Would using the brushed bronze increase the value of our home at all, or should I just save money and go with the polished brass?

I have a few bathroom remodeling questions?

I hate my bathroom. I have a blue toilet, bath tub and sink. I dont have a ton of money to replace everything so i wanted to paint the tub, sink, and vanity and i was going to replace the toilet and the fake wood floor with tile. My question is is it possible to paint the tub and sink from blue to white and will it last?

I am remodeling my bathroom in my roommates house. So I can’t get crazy with the look. My selections should be appealing to the masses. However, I dont want it to be boring. I have always loved the black and white checkered floor look but I dont know if it will work in a small space. I like black and white because i think it can be feminine and/or masculine, contemporary and/or modern and youthful or mature/classy all at the same time. If i went that route with the floor i think i would paint the vanity black and possibly give it the distressed look. But again, i am not sure if such a bold contrast with the black against white will be good for that small of a space.
