I live in an old home and I just remodeled my bathroom and put beaded board four feet around the bathroom. I need color and I have wallpaper on the top half. Blue, pink, green and brown colors. I want to change my rugs and towels to burgandy and or dark greens. My floor looks like wood grain. Should I be bold and paint it a bright color My room is large and light. My appliances are in the room and they are white. Thanks for your imput. Shelby

I am planning a bathroom remodel and some friends told me not to do the wainscoat around the room because it would "automatically date" the room. It’s not like I am adding flocked or metalic wallpaper? Is it true that wainscosting in a bathroom gives it a dated look? I thought it would look very upscale.
I was thinking of using tumbled marble or some other "matte" finish tile with a horizontal detail near the top and a finished edge, bullnosed or something.

Best order of tasks for bathroom remodel?

In our bathroom, we would like replace tub, sink and toilet. We’d also like to put down new flooring over the existing vinyl. On some walls we will strip wallpaper and paint. On other walls and in bath area we might re-tile. What is the best order to do these things to minimize bathroom down-time and expense.

need help on my bathroom remodeling?

I have a large bathroom with a jacuzzi (room for 4 regular size or 2 large people) anyway, there is a step from the floor and then to step in. I think I could make it look like an ancient grecian bath house. I have a pillar for the corner of the bath and I can buy a chair and some other objects and wall art, but I need to have wallpaper or stenciling that I can put on the walls to make it look like the inside of a palace bath house.

Can anyone direct me to a site that can help me with that?

    thanks if you can
    raspberries if you can’t
    lol

remodeling a bathroom, garage style, ideas please?

Im redoing my sons bathroom, very small area, just where sink and commode are is about 4×6 feet. other side is shower stall. I am considering doing it in garage style and anything goes. am looking at parts washer for sink, tool box for vanity cabinet, diamond plate wallpaper, lots of chrome, stainless, galvanized, stuff. The flooring has me stymied. Looking for something like a hard surface you would find in a shop or garage, but i have particle wood floor base. He wants a concrete look. Please throw any ideas my way for things to do to this bathroom, i pretty much will try anything.

    Bathroom remodeling… wallpaper and cabinets?

I’m taking down the wallpaper in my bathroom but it goes behind a huge mirror glued to the wall. Is there anyway to get the mirror down or should I not worry about whats behind it?

Also, the cabinets are grey fermica (late 80s style)… is there anyway to remove the fermica (easily) or should I just replace the cabinets entirely?

ANY extra ideas or thoughts are entirely welcome! I’m a newbie at doing this!
will the mirror break though if i pull it off the wall? and how do i get it off the wall if possible?
