Would a burgandy color on top of white beaded board look good together in a bathroom I just remodeled ?
I live in an old home and I just remodeled my bathroom and put beaded board four feet around the bathroom. I need color and I have wallpaper on the top half. Blue, pink, green and brown colors. I want to change my rugs and towels to burgandy and or dark greens. My floor looks like wood grain. Should I be bold and paint it a bright color My room is large and light. My appliances are in the room and they are white. Thanks for your imput. Shelby

Burgandy sounds lovely and also right for an older home. The beaded board is an excellent idea. Sounds like you have it figured out all by yourself! A dark color will be fine in a large, sunny room. Besides, you have the white to brighten things up. Go for it!
The bathroom is large? I would need a picture to tell you, if you want, send me one. I think for a bathroom, having a darker color would make it look too small.
That sounds like a beautiful bathroom! And yes, bold colors are good for what you’re doing.
I think that it is an excellent idea. It will be very pretty and complimentary. And remember that it’s an old "wive’s tale" that dark colors make a room look smaller. That’s incorrect. They actually give the appearance of big and large because they stand out. It’s when it’s dark and crowded that things appear smaller.
I say to go for it! and maybe even get curtains to match!
